Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out

Arlen Specter is considering leaving the GOP for bluer pastures. I say let him go.

The sad thing is he probably has a better chance in a general election as a Democrat than he does in the Republican primary. I think the real question is, if he does make his de facto status in the Democrat party de jure, will he get a primary challenger? And is his constant Republican backstabbing enough to pull him through?

And down the memory hole it goes...

I have deleted my previous postings and have decided to begin anew. In the age of Obama all things are possible.

The site will be revamped. It will be made cooler. But you can still expect the same mediocre writing, and the same easy-on-the-eyes black background.

Really, I just needed a place where I can publicly call Paul Krugman an idiot.

Also, I will now allow comments! So now one of two things can happen, people will get a chance to call me an idiot or even worse say nothing.
